I am going to be honest. It took me at least a week to get used to the process because what I did was drink two shakes as meal replacements (Breakfast and Lunch) then I ate a sensible dinner. Now..... not everyday was sensible due to the fact that I am a emotional eater and food is comfort. However, I worked and continued to pray threw those demons and got it my strength threw my spirituality. Now my start weight was 240 and now I am 217. I would have lost more had I worked out but I have been going threw something and have not worked out like I am supposed too. However, I am going to be sticking to my process and I will be starting the gym this month.

Also losing weight is not a overnight process and in order to lose weight you have to deal with the mental side of it as well. Are you a emotional eater? Do you eat a lot of sugar? Are you taking in enough water? Those issues play in losing weight and also with dealing with healthy skin. I suffered with adult acne for along time and I am just now starting to get the hang of things. I cut out all process foods and artificial foods. I also suggest you get some vitamins and proper rest. Those things are key to healthy living.

I am not where I want to be just yet. I don't want to be skinny because that's just not my thing. I just want to be "CURVY". I'm all about that!! I have more things in the process going on but I will throw that at you on a later date. I have to make sure it works before I put it out there. So, are you on a life/weight loss journey? Winter Photo Shoot

 

 

The weather here in NJ is so cold. You would think since I lived in the Tri-State area all my life that I would be used to the cold but I am not. I am so over the snow right now. We just got a couple of inches of snow and I just want it to melt already. Its cold and the wind is blowing hard and snowy. Anyways I had a photo shoot in Philadelphia right after the snow storm and I was obligated to be there because I had already committed to the project. That comes with being a makeup artist. Once you so sign on to the project you can't back out. Especially when money is involved.

I didn't travel with my normal case. I used my Zuca Pro backpack which really came in handy yesterday. I refused to carry around a heavy makeup case in the snow. This case was gifted to me years ago from my husband so I don't know the price. However, Google is your friend and you can also purchase this case from Zuca.com

 

 The photography had these great vanity lights that he installed himself and this vintage makeup case that I thought was amazing. I love photographers that pays attention to detail and also thinks about the clients needs as well. Those photographers are worth the amount of money they charge.

On the client I used a M.A.C pigment in a nude color and I also used my Naked 2 palette as well. For her foundation I used Black Opal and her Blush and Contour is Milani Chestnut Multitasker powder and Rose'D Oro blush. For her lips I kept it nude with Crème D'Nude by MAC and Enchantress gloss with Cork lip liner all by MAC. Lashes are custom using Beauty Supply store lashes.

Crockpot Loving: Korean Sesame Chicken

 

We all live a busy life. Especially if you are a mother. Its hard, cooking, cleaning and trying to keep out sanity. Today was my son first day of school and I wanted him to come home to a great meal. I always use my crockpot when I am busy during the week. Here is the ingredients on this dish:

 

Ingredients: 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce

3 TBS of Honey

2 TBS of Sesame Oil

1/2 cup of dried chives

3 TBS of minced garlic

2 TBS of ground ginger

Some black pepper to sprinkle

Chicken Thighs or Boneless

 

Instructions: Mix all ingredients but chicken in crockpot

Add chicken to crockpot and coat it

Cover and cook on low for 6hr or High for 4hrs

Serve with rice
